With dual 64-bit AMD processors and a 256MB PCI express video card this new machine runs ArKaos like it was nothing. Its pretty sweet. Also, don’t forget about our annual Holiday party on Wednesday Dec 16th. Hopefully we’ll have a great turn out this year, as we are looking forward to seeing all of you.

11-14-05 Chris just returned from his first trip to LDI. An excellent chance to network and learn about new products, it was a worthwhile investment for The Show Syndicate.

11-10-05 The Show Syndicate just finished a project with The Sullivan Group out of Chicago. We put together a full package for the NACR sales conference at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Hopefully this is just the beginning of our relationship with The Sullivan Group. Here are the PICS.

10-05-05 The Show Syndicate has purchased some more equipment. We have doubled our inventory of Mackie powered speakers and have acquired some spandex panels. We now have two 10’ by 10’ four pointed panels and an 18’ by 20’ six-pointed panel. All three are white, flame retardant spandex from Rose Brand. Call today for rental pricing.

10-20-05 The Show Syndicate has just finished yet another show with Escena Productions. WOmens Leadership Forum, or WOLF, took place at the State theatre in Minneapolis and included a special concert/ speaking engagement with Melissa Etheridge. An inspirational event, it went off without a hitch. Check out the PICS, and pay particular attention to the un-orthodox use of confetti cannons at AVHQ’s warehouse.

09-27-05 The Show Syndicate volunteered it’s time and effort on Sunday September 25th to “Restoring the Rhythm - A Benefit for Hurricane Katrina” at Target Center. Chris designed a lighting rig, Bret scheduled the crew and Kyle built all of the sponsor support graphics. With a crew of 10 volunteers and equipment from AVHQ, The Show Syndicate helped raise over    $20,000 to help Second Harvest and the Tipitina Foundation in New Orleans. A festival style music show, the event featured Big Daddy Bullfrog, Tim Mahoney, Chris Hawkey, Some-Burbs, Dave Pirner, and the Violent Femmes. We brought in a lighting rig, 2 screens and switching for a 3 camera shoot. Check out the PICS. Very special thanks go out to our crew:

  • Bryce Larson - Master Electrician
  • Joe Lundy - Camera
  • Marty Masterjohn - Projection

  • Jason Smith - Direction, Graphics, Switching
  • Gordy Hughes - Engineering

08-01-05 The Show Syndicate is back in town after several days in Red Wing, MN working on the 100th Anniversary Celebration for Red Wing Shoes. Bret was TD and Chris was LD in the performance tent. Kyle was the projectionist for the screens in the tent as well as the 100’ wide water screen. It was a harrowing set-up but the show went fantastically well! Check out the pics in the PICS page. The event is featured in the October issue of Entertainment Design (www.entertainmentdesignmag.com) but of course there is no mention of us...

07-01-05 The Show Syndicate has made some relatively large purchases in the past month. We now own a small Mackie PA and two Yamaha O1V digital audio consoles. We also purchased a large format, full color plotter along with a new print/ file server. Now we have the ability to print out 24” x 36” plots and show pics in full color from any printer in the office.

06-01-05 There have been some big changes at The Show Syndicate lately. We recently bought out our two production partners, Jason Smith and Sue Lang. After almost a year we all decided that we would be better served as separate entities. We will still collaborate with them on shows but are no longer officially affiliated.
